Truth

To tell the truth is always a good habit and it is a virtue to be inculcated right from young age. At times truth is difficult; to digestbut one can always express in a way telling the truth but not hurting another person. Like a woman comes to show her three months baby child who is dark one need not hurt commenting on the child’s complexion instead can bless the child and mention about her beautiful features like sharp nose or bright eyes which would give immense pleasure to the mother the person has not spoken a lie. Truth always wins. There is a saying in Sanskrit the Divine Language, “Satyameva Jayate”. One of the important teachings of Hinduism is being truthful to oneself. The greatest example of a person who stood up for truth is nunelse than the king Harish Chandra who gave up his kingdom, wife and also his only son to keep up the promise he has given to Sage Viswamitra, though he underwent trauma he stood by it and he is praised by all and remembered even today. By telling truth we purify; our souls. We tell a single lie to protect ourselves, but it will not stop there and it will land us in miserable situations.. One should always tell the truth and live by it at times it brings tears and trauma but it will give u happiness at one stage atleast to your own conscience . Nun should deviate from the virtue TRUTH.
